The main task of the Culture and Leisure Committee is to promote cultural life and create conditions for a diverse sports and leisure activity. The culture, sports, and leisure activities in the city of Mölndal have their common base in people's needs for context, stimulation, and creativity. By meeting these needs, culture, sports, and leisure activities form a fundamental prerequisite for people's opportunities for engagement and influence in a vibrant society. Culture, sports, and leisure are for everyone, with a focus on children and young people.
The Culture and Leisure Administration in Mölndal consists of five departments; Leisure and Public Health, Museum, Art and Culture, Libraries in Mölndal, Associations and Sports, and Administration. This position is part of the department of Sports, Leisure, and Public Health and the unit of Sports and Associations.
The Sports and Associations unit is responsible for renting out the city's sports facilities, distributing association grants, and collaborating with the association community, the public, and other actors to create the best possible conditions for a broad and rich sports culture and active life in the city of Mölndal. Additionally, collaboration and development with relevant parties occur internally and externally, focusing on the best possible conditions and solutions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Fritidsbanken is like a library but with sports and leisure equipment. We are located in Pedagogen Park and work to promote public health by giving everyone the opportunity for an active leisure time. Every year, we lend out thousands of sports items for free and co-organize several events and spontaneous activities.
Fritidsbanken is operated by Sports and Associations in the city of Mölndal, which works to help people develop, grow, and have fun together with others.
As an employee in the operation, you will work together with colleagues to meet, guide, and support our visitors. The work is varied and requires both a sense of service and responsibility.
Your responsibilities include:
- Welcoming visitors and helping them find and try suitable sports and leisure equipment
- Ensuring that equipment is safe, functional, and in good condition
- Being responsible for the daily operation of the premises according to current routines
- Contributing to a safe, accessible, and welcoming environment for all visitors
- Handling practical tasks and minor repairs as needed
Working hours are mainly during the day with some evening hours. The operation's opening hours vary throughout the year, and weekend work may occur.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with a strong service focus who enjoys interacting with people. You are responsible, flexible, and have a good ability to adapt to the needs of the operation.

Requirements for the position are:
- Fluent Swedish in speech and writing
- Good proficiency in English, both spoken and written
- A valid B driver's license is required
We are looking for someone with at least a 3-year upper secondary education and substantial experience in sports and association activities. You have a genuine interest in sports and leisure and are open to acquiring new knowledge in your work.
Since the work involves many contacts, there is a requirement that you have the ability to create trusting relationships, communicate, and collaborate with many different actors.
You have a professional approach and contribute to a good working atmosphere. As a person, we believe you are independent, driven, and service-oriented.
